Indian Post GDS Vacancy 2024 Eligibility
Education Qualification :
  • 10th class pass certificate with a mandatory pass in Mathematics and English (conducted by any recognized Board of School Education recognized by the Government of India/State Government/Union Territories), all recognized There will be a mandatory educational qualification for all recognized categories of GDS.
  • The applicant must have studied the local language, i.e. (name of local language), at least up to secondary level [as a compulsory or elective subject].
Age Limit :-
  • The minimum age criteria for the applicant are 18 years and the maximum age eligibility for the job is 40 years.

India Post Office Recruitment 2024 Application Fee
To complete the application form candidates have to pay some fee, without it, the application shall be considered incomplete or invalid. The general, OBC & EWS candidates have to pay ₹100/-. The details regarding the application fee are given below:
  • General/OBC/EWS: Rs. 100/-
  • SC/ST/PWD/Female/Transwomen: Nil
Reservation :-
  • There will be no relaxation in the upper age limit for EWS applicants. However, persons who belong to the EWS sector and who are not covered under the reservation scheme for SC, ST, and OBC will get 10% reservation for interest in GDS posts 2024.
How to Apply Post office GDS Recruitment 2024 ?
  • The candidate must register at India Post GDS using a valid email ID.
  • The email ID registered in the portal will only be used for any further correspondence from India Post GDS.
  • A registration link will be sent to the registered email ID of the candidate.
  • Therefore, candidates must click on the verification button to authenticate their email ID.
  • On verification, the user will be redirected to the India Post GDS page to log in and apply.
  • Candidates must fill in all the details in each section and ensure to upload the requisite documents as per the notification, wherever applicable, to authenticate the details mentioned in the application form.
Indian Post GDS Vacancy 2024 Selection Process
Applicants will be selected on the basis of a merit list generated by the system. The GDS merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained/converted into marks in the 10th class secondary examination of recognized boards. It is mandatory to pass all subjects as per the prescribed norms of the recognized board. Candidates whose marksheet has both marks and grades are required to apply with marks only. If an applicant applies with grades instead of marks, his/her application will be liable for disqualification.
