About the exam :
National Means cum Merit Scholarship is also known as NMMS which is started by the Central Government Education Board. And this Scheme is created for only class 8th  students to provide merit scholarships throughout India. The  main motto of this scheme to give Scholarships for Merit Students. The Selected candidates will get an award of Scholarship is Rs. 12000 per month till class 12th.

Eligibility :
Students should complete 8th class standard at any recognized schools or institutions and their parental annual income should be less then Rs. 1,50,000

The Annual income certificate should be issued by tehsildar/ Mamlatdar with attested of gazetted signature.

Education criteria :
All the students must attain a minimum of 55% of marks or equivalent grade in 8th class standard for general students. For SC/ST students must have 50% score in class 8th.

The students should complete their 8th class on a regular basis only at local schools or government schools.

NMMS exam pattern :
  • Exam will be conducted in 2 levels
  • Level 1- Mental ability test
  • Level 2- Scholastic Aptitude Test
