Indian Institute of Teacher Education is the University established by Government of Gujarat
with a view to uplift the standards of Teacher Education. The University has been offering
programmes like B.Sc.-B.Ed., B.A.-B.Ed., B.Ed., B.Ed.-M.Ed., M.Sc./M.A-.M.Ed., M.Ed., and
Ph.D. programmes. The University is inviting applications for various programmes from the
eligible candidates who can carry out their studies in the Centre of Education and affiliated
colleges of the IITE.
A. UG Teacher Education Programmes

B. PG Teacher Education Programmes
- 3 year integrated innovative M.Sc./M.A.-M.Ed.

These UG & PG courses are structured to cater the needs of Teacher Education from Upper
Primary and Secondary Schools to Higher Education Institutions, where the subjects are
general in nature and students have to learn basic and fundamental concepts. The core
elements of the courses are based on primary concerns of teacher education and subjects
within. These admissions will be governed by IITE Rules and regulations.
Counselling and Admission Procedure
- The candidates who are called for counseling and admission process are required to be present on prescribed date and time at the University campus situated in Gandhinagar with all the required documents in original along with a set of photocopies with self-attestation for verification of records. If there is any anomaly during the document verification and if it is found that the candidate has submitted false information, the University shall cancel the admission of the candidate.
- The place and method of council may change at the time of admission in case Government of India, Government of Gujarat or any other Apex Bodies issue the directives in regards to COVID-19 Pandemic.
- The admission is getting confirmed after paying semester and registration fees for the respective course on the date of counseling and admission.
- The candidate for B.Ed. or M.Ed. programme can select the college at the time of counseling provided that any seat is vacant in respective programme and subject or not. At the end of counseling if any seats are vacant in particular subject can be converted into another subject, at the sole discretionary of the university.
- Kindly note that vacant seats after admission to all categories may be converted in to open seats on which students belong to open category shall be offered admission merit wise, so all the students shall wait until entire process is over, than by turn reshuffling and admission will take place among all those who are present at counseling center.
- This process shall be carried out for all programmed. In B.Ed. this process shall be method wise.
- After giving all admission in a subject/method, if in case seats remain vacant shall be carried forward next subject/method and shall be continued till the end of admission process subject/method wise.
- The candidate’s admission is valid if he qualifies in i3T test and he gets admission after counselling process by the University only. Admission done in any other manner is invalid and is subject to cancellation.
Documents required at the time of Admission
- The candidate shall submit the self - attested copies of the following documents along with the print out of the registration form at the time of admission counseling:
- Qualifying Examination Mark sheet.
- School Leaving Certificate, Transfer Certificate or Migration Certificate
- Caste certificate for a candidate belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled
- Tribes (ST) and Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC), Economically
- Backward Class (EWS) issued by the authority empowered by the Gujarat State
- Government in this behalf.
- Valid Non- Creamy layer (NCL) certificate of the family, issued by the authority
- empowered by the State Government in this behalf
- Certificate of Physical Disability, issued and duly signed by the Civil Surgeon/
- competent Medical Authority; in case of a Physically Handicapped candidate
IITE 2022 Admit Card
Aspirants can make avail of the admit card by downloading it from the link available on the official website.The IITE admit card 2022 is distributed for those who have filled the application form in the correct method and also pay the required fee.It encompasses number, exam center, and other details. Since the exam center can be in any city, it is prudent to confirm the info printed on the admit card before entering the exam hall.
Steps to download the Admit Card
- The admit card can only be downloaded from the website
- Enter Application Number and Password
- Next, download the admit card.
- It is obligately to keep the printouts of the admit card after downloading it
- It will be required to show it during the counseling and admission process.
IITE 2022 Result
Aspirants will be required to confirm their results from the online manner. The IITE result 2022 is acknowledged in accordance with the exam date designated by the applicant.The official result of the exam is declared after the termination of the test. Aspirants will require to arrive at the official page of the University for knowing the scores of exams.
