Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani announced that the state government would offer subsidies to encourage battery-operated two-wheelers and three-wheelers.

₹12,000 offered for battery-operated two-wheelers, ₹48,000 for three-wheelers

The Gujarat government has announced a subsidy scheme to encourage use of electric vehicles. Under it, the State government will offer subsidy of ₹12,000 for a battery-operated electric two-wheeler, and ₹48,000 for an e-rickshaw (three-wheeler).

Announcing the scheme, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani stated that the State government is aiming to provide subsidy support to students studying above Class 9 to purchase two-wheelers, while individuals and institutional beneficiaries will get subsidy suppo

The subsidy will be provided for the first 10,000 two-wheelers and 5,000 three-wheelers.

In order to augment e-vehicle charging facilities, the State government also announced financial assistance of ₹50 lakh to set up charging infrastructure.

Self-certified copy of Aadhaar card
Self-certified copy of the license to drive a tricycle
Specimen of race (if applicable)

For Institutional Applicant:
Certified copy of the certificate of registration of the organization
Self attested copy of the organization's light bill / property tax bill
Self attested copy of the organization's light bill / property tax bill
Resolution regarding the purchase and use of the organization's tricycle

Who Has To Submit The Application Form:
By selecting the application form manufacturer and model. : Must be submitted to Dealers / JADA office of selected manufacturers by 31/12/2020.

Priority Standards:
Individual - Rickshaw puller / Women Entrepreneur / Youth Startup Entrepreneur / Educated Unemployed / Scheduled Caste / Socio-Economic Survey.
Institutional - Co-operative Societies / Pilgrimages / Non-Profit Organizations / Local Self Government Institutions / Educational Institutions.
