Gujarat Government has launched a scheme to provide insurance coverage in case of accidental death / permanent sickness to the resident farmers of the state from the auspicious day of 7th January. This scheme is a 5% state government sponsored scheme. In this scheme, the insurance premium is paid by the state government on behalf of all the farmers in the state. This scheme is being implemented under the Gujarat Collective Group, People's Accident Insurance Scheme. Implemented by the Director of Insurance, Gandhinagar from 9/8/9.
